Hot Dog-Eating Contest

What goes better with budget rock than cheap beer and even cheaper hot dogs? The goal was a simple one: to scarf down as many low-grade weiners and buns as possible in 5 minutes. Four hardy souls with appetites for immoderation stepped up to mountainous platters of cold processed meat and bread straight from the bag: Ian, the drummer of Killer's Kiss; Christine; Ryan, keyboardist of The Mothballs; and Andy, guitarist/singer of The Touch-Me-Nots. With the cheers of the crowd drowning out any and all doubts, they chewed, swallowed, and struggled to hold back the puke--but only one strutted away in victory: Andy. The two-time champ inhaled 7.5 dogs, which apparently only whetted his appetite. After claiming the grand prize (a five-pound value pack of Farmer John premium weiners), he flaunted his iron stomach by polishing off the other half of the winning weiner and ordering a Cuban sandwich with all the fixin's. Hot dog! That man can eat!
